Dr Minh Duc Tran has been a medical specialist in anaesthesia since 2002. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with his medical degree in 1994. He underwent anaesthesia training at Liverpool Hospital and took up a fellowship in Cardiac Anaesthesia at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. Dr Tran had further training in Paediatric Anaesthesia at both Sydney Children Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital. Dr Tran also joined CareFlight as a registrar in 2000 and continued working as a consultant retrievalist until 2004. During this time he retrieved numerous memorable missions including “Helicopter Mission of the year Award 2000” and the Bali Bombing Mission. Currently Dr Tran works as a private specialist anaesthetist based in Sydney.

Dr Tran’s current practice covers many areas of anaesthesia. His specialties include but not limited to Opthalmology, Major Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Head & Neck/Endocrine, Plastics/Cosmetics as well as General Surgery. In between his busy work schedule and spending time with his family, Dr Tran makes time to perform charity work, traveling overseas to Vietnam and Cambodia annually to help those less fortunate.
